Water and Wet

A few days ago, I stood under the shower, eyes closed, letting the water cascade over me. The warmth wrapped around me, liquid fingers tracing paths down my skin. Each drop drummed against my shoulders, a steady, rhythmic downpour. I wasn’t thinking about much—just enjoying the simple pleasure of being immersed. Then, suddenly, it struck me—water is wet. Of course, it is. It always is. It can’t be anything else. There’s no such thing as dry water. The moment water touches something, wetness follows. It’s automatic. Unavoidable. And in that instant, I realized—faith is the same way. "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17, ESV) Faith isn’t a rare phenomenon or something we must force into existence. It flows. It follows the Word of God as naturally as wet follows water. For a long time, I thought my provision was a thing—something I had to strive for, chase after, and secure. I believed my healing was a thing—a remedy, a process, or a breakthrough that I had to find. I thought my progress was something I needed to measure, achieve, or attain. My goals in life? I saw them as things. My purpose? Another thing to discover. I saw my protection, happiness, strength, victory, and freedom—all as things. But then I received a revelation that changed everything. The Revelation of I AM When Moses stood before the burning bush, trembling with uncertainty, he asked God for a name he could give to the people of Israel. God’s response was profound and eternal: “I AM THAT I AM” (Exodus 3:14). In Hebrew, this name is Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh , which carries deep significance.
